DeSoto Lake is a relatively wet place typically with a great deal of rain; the wettest month of the year is mostly March, that's the one that rains the most; October is the month with the least moisture. Hawthorn Suites Ltd Rome is a nice place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. At DeSoto Lake you always meet someone from Rome, and if you came for an overnight stay Rome-floyd County Recreation is a fine place to       camp. Playing golf is lots of fun at B E A A Country Club; Morrison Campground is a good local campground. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to DeSoto Lake. near DeSoto Lake you'll come across a wooded area called Marshall Forest, and a glorious location for whitewater paddling is Big Cedar Creek. Getting to Etowah River from DeSoto Lake is uncomplicated; of course, this is a good neighborhood for people who like lakes, Victory                  Lake is a lake in close proximity. At DeSoto Lake through the summer highs are in the 80's. Summer overnight lows drop down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to DeSoto Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Paris Lake is in the vicinity of DeSoto Lake; at DeSoto Lake you can see Myrtle Hill. If you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Johnnies Creek, and if you need a place to stay Holiday Inn Rome-Skytop Center-Us 411 E,Ga is a splendid choice.
