There's whitewater on Chattahoochee River for all you adrenaline junkies, and why not stop at Day Lake Dam since you're here. Sawyer's Mobile Home Estates is a glorious campground here; if you need a place to stay Country Inn And Suites By Carlson Columbus is a glorious choice.       Day Lake is a great site to camp, Halawaka Campgrounds and Grocery is a great site, and you'll most likely meet some people from Columbus here. Bishop Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by; there are some great whitewater spots on Mulberry Creek. Through the summer months here at Day Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's; winter nights                  come with lows in the 30's to Day Lake.
