Best Western Mountain View Inn is a great location to get some rest, and if you're here you can take a hike along the South Fork Trail. Dry warm beds await you at Ramada Limited Of Blue Ridge, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Holly Creek. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Davenport Lake you will meet lots of folks from close by Cleveland, and not far from Davenport Lake you       obtain some glorious water scenery at Mountaintown Creek Watershed Dam Number One. This lake is so wonderful. Wolfpen Gap is in the vicinity of Davenport Lake and is certainly a glorious site to check out; hey, Carroll Creek is a glorious local stream. Davenport Lake is a wet place that gets a good deal of rain; the month with most of the rain is March, and October is when it's the driest. Lakes? Sure, Hill Lake is close by; you can stay the night at Plum                  Nelly Campground. So much amusing stuff to do at Davenport Lake, so little time. Have a fine hiking adventure along the Mountaintown Creek Trail, and Whitepath Golf Club & is a nice golf course nearby. During the summer months highs here at Davenport Lake reach the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are regularly in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Davenport Lake through the wintertime typically fall into the 20's.
