Looking for something right next door to Davenport Lake? Hills Lake is close at hand; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mountaintown
Creek. The peak of Bee Knob can be seen from Davenport Lake, and Davenport Lake is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Plum Nelly Campground is a pleasant local campground. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site.
Now, you may assume that's a lot but there's even more cool stuff to do here at Davenport Lake. There are splendid sites to explore along the Mountaintown Creek Trail, and getting to Carroll Creek from Davenport Lake is uncomplicated.
