Dam Number Six generally gets a large amount of rainfall; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain; September on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Skull Shoal Creek has a splendid whitewater paddling spot nearby. There's so much to do here at Dam Number Six that you need to camp here for a while, Oconee River Campground and       Picnic Area is a pleasant site for that. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Dam Number Six. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 60's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 50's with temperatures at Dam Number Six dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. Dam Number Six is a location with many visitors from Athens-Clarke County, and Dam Number Six is right by the Falling Camp Trail.
