An out of the ordinary thing to pop by close to Dam Number Six is South Fork Broad River Number Six Dam, and if you come at the right time of year, Big Clouds Creek offers some great whitewater. Dam Number Six is a wet place that gets lots of rainfall; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and September on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Dam Number Six, you'll find Big Lake which is a scenic lake, and if you need a place to stay Ramada Limited Royston is a tremendous choice. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Dam Number Six. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 60's. at Dam Number Six dip into the 20's. There are delightful places to explore along the Mounds Trail; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at close by Whitehead Lake. Go for a hike on the Scull Shoals Trail.
Having a tremendous time at Dam Number Six is easy. During your spree to Dam Number Six you'll meet some folks from Athens-Clarke County for sure, and needless to say Big Clouds Creek flows through this neighborhood. This lake is
so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Falling Camp Trail is always a perfect adventure; a delightful site to camp here at Dam Number Six is River's Edge. While you're here at Dam Number Six you can play some golf at Sunrise Golf Club,
and Dam Number Six is good enough to spend more than a day at, Watson Mill Bridge State Park is a good local campground.
