This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water close by flows, like Blackwell Creek; float down the rapids of Amicalola Creek in a kayak. Cox Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Under the Hemlock is a great local campground, and while you're here, you could also pop by pretty Sconti Lake. The warmest time of       the year brings highs in the 80's to Cox Lake with nighttime lows in the 60's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Cox Lake. Going for a hike along the Brookshire Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and a good close by hotel is Super 8 Motels - Jasper. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Amicalola Falls State Park and Lodge is always a good experience; Microtel                  Inn & Suites Jasper is a fine site to get some rest. Cox Lake typically gets a good deal of rain; March is the wettest month with most rain; the driest month of the year is October. If you love the outdoors, you'll love Cox Lake.
