Cowart Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. Throughout the summer months highs here at Cowart Lake reach the 80's; the night is fairly chillier of course, mostly in the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 40's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Cowart Lake tend to be in the 20's. Dry warm beds await you at Deluxe Inn, and if you came to camp Arrowhead Campground is a wonderful place to do that. There's so much to do here at Cowart Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Truitt-fulton is a magnificent site for that, and Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail is one of the destinations | |

that are brilliant to explore close by. Looking for some flowing water? Try North Fork Camp Creek, and if you need a place to stay Courtyard Atlanta Airport West is a good choice. There are other locations here than Cowart Lake, for
example City of East Point Reservoir; if you're a golfer then a great close by course is Wolf Creek Golf Course. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can check out
Upper Cowart Lake Dam, and if you come at the right time of year, Sweetwater Creek offers some magnificent whitewater. Here at Cowart Lake you'll probably meet some folks from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Annewakee River.
