Be careful coming to Corrections Lake, you might not ever want to go back home again. Going for a hike on the Kinnard Horse Trail is always a splendid adventure. There's so much to do here at Corrections Lake that you need to camp here for a while, High Falls Campground is a tremendous site for that. For the period of the warm months, highs typically are in the 80's at Corrections       Lake. For the period of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. Highs during the wintertime are generally in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Corrections Lake. Corrections Lake gets a good deal of water; March is when you get the most rain here, and October on the other hand is the driest. Near Corrections Lake you hit upon the Ocmulgee River Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail, and Corrections Dam is an attention-grabbing                  thing to check out. A delightful site for whitewater paddling close to Corrections Lake is Little Towaliga River, and dry warm beds await you at Super 8 Motel - Locust Grove. This lake is so wonderful. You can run the rapids of Towaliga River near Corrections Lake, and after a long day outdoors Days Inn At Jackson is a perfect place to spend a night or two.
