Do have a look at Ransome Lake in the neighborhood of Copeland Lake, it's a pretty lake, and a round of golf at nearby Pebblebrooke Golf Club is a perfect way to kill some time. If you need a place to stay Best Western White House Inn is a pleasant choice, and a pretty lake like Pine Mountain Foundation Lake is a great place to have a look at. This       lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Flint River; there are plenty of folks from Thomaston here. Summertime highs at Copeland Lake regularly tend to be in the 90's while overnight lows are usually in the 60's.
