This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Doubletree Hotel Atlanta/Alpharetta-Windward is a splendid choice; get yourself into a kayak and hit Marsh Creek. While you're here at Copeland Lake you will meet lots of people from close by Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta, and glide down the rapids of Big Creek in a kayak. Copeland Dam is not far at all from Copeland Lake; a round       of golf at nearby Crooked Creek Golf Club is a good way to kill some time. All the water falling down from the sky makes Copeland Lake a wet place; March is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is September. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Copeland Lake. Hotel Sierra Suites Alpharetta is a fine spot to get some rest. There's so much to do here at Copeland Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Marietta                  Campground is a fine location for that. Don't miss out on a visit to Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area if you're here at Copeland Lake. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Copeland Lake has to offer, you can camp at Twin Lakes Park. This lake is so wonderful. For the period of the months of summer at Copeland Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's. For the duration of the winter highs are in the 40's; overnight lows in the 20's for Copeland Lake.
