In case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Lazer Creek; if you need a site to stay Manchester Days Inn is a good choice. Flint River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby, and an out of the ordinary thing to go to near Cooliks Lake is County Park Lake Dam. At Cooliks Lake during the summertime months highs are in the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures       drop down into the 60's. Highs through the wintertime are usually in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Cooliks Lake. Cooliks Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; during March this area sees the most rain while October is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Best Western White House Inn is a pleasant place to get some rest, and camping is available at Ramsey Mobile Home and RV Park.
