This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Towns Bluff Park while you're here at Cook Lake; Cook Lake North is a splendid lake nearby. The annual rain here at Cook Lake is about average; the month of January is the wettest with most of the rain; October is when it's the driest. High temperatures at Cook Lake during the summer are in the 90's while nighttime       lows are commonly in the 70's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 50's; overnight lows throughout the winter for Cook Lake tend to be in the 30's. An afternoon playing golf at Twisted Pines Golf Course is always a delight; after a long day outdoors Mt. Vernon Inn and Suites is a nice location to spend a night or two. You don’t have to go far from Cook Lake to make out the water at Cook Lake Dam, and Best Western Hazlehurst is a great place to get some rest.
