Throughout the warm months at Collins Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 50's with temperatures at Collins Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. A fine site to camp here at Collins Lake is Toccoa Rv Park & Campground, and not far from Collins Lake you'll discover       North Fork Broad River which is a pretty lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Toccoa Days Inn is a glorious choice, and on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Bartram Trail. Camping is available at Hazel Creek RV Park. Lakes are great; Steel Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Collins Lake. Why not stop by nearby Carnes Creek while you're here at Collins Lake, and Brasstown Creek has a nice whitewater paddling spot                  close by. Be careful coming to Collins Lake, you might not ever want to return home again. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Panther Creek, and Toccoa City Golf Course is a golf course close by. North Fork Broad River Structure Three Dam is worth stopping at while you're here; dry warm beds await you at Country Hearth Inn Toccoa. All the water falling down from the sky makes Collins Lake a wet site; March is when you get the most rain here while October is regularly the driest month.
