    It's always fun to stop by Collins Lake. Throughout the warm months at Collins Lake temperatures are generally in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. Throughout the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 50's with temperatures at Collins Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. A fine site to camp here at Collins Lake is Toccoa Rv Park & Campground, and not far from Collins Lake you'll discover  
   North Fork Broad River which is a pretty lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Toccoa Days Inn is a glorious choice, and on a glorious day you can take a hike along the Bartram Trail.
Camping is available at Hazel Creek RV Park. Lakes are great; Steel Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Collins Lake. Why not stop by nearby Carnes Creek while you're here at Collins Lake, and Brasstown Creek has a nice whitewater paddling spot
 
               close by.
Be careful coming to Collins Lake, you might not ever want to return home again. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Big Panther Creek, and Toccoa City Golf Course is a golf course close by. North Fork Broad River Structure Three Dam is worth stopping at while you're here; dry warm beds await you at Country Hearth Inn Toccoa. All the water falling down from the sky makes Collins Lake a wet site; March is when you get the most rain here while October is regularly the driest month.
During your tour to Collins Lake you'll meet some people from Toccoa for sure; if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the Chattooga Trail.

...ie Mountains. It is fed by Freeman Creek, McAvoy Branch and Coe Branch.
This lake is located on the farm lands of Palmer Simpson Stonecypher and was constructed in the mid 1950's.
The shorelines are constant except in times of heavy rainfall and original life of lake was projected to exceed 100 years. Silt accumulation after 20 years was approximately .5 inche. Normal elevation is apporximately 800'. Feeder streams maintain lake levels even during extended periods of insufficient rainfall and at the same time provide spill into the exiting stream bed.
The lake has been pulled down during periods of heavy construction of highways across the feeder streams to allow silt to return to the streams and pass thru thedrain gates.
Buena Vista Dr crosses the lake in two places; one being the main dam and again on the Coe Branch inlet. Original construction of dams accommodated these crossings.

Hi!? I am looking for information.? Recently, I have been going thru old black and white photos that belong to my grandmother.? I have several dozen that are dated Easter Sunday, 1945 (April 1st).? I have being attempting determine the location where these pics were taken.? The only thing grandmother can remember is a name:? Panther Creek Park.? She thought it was somewhere around Corniela.? I found this web page while doing a search for it.? I have included some pics.? The most obvious feature in a lot of this photos is a round brick object that people seemed to spend a lot of time lounging around.? I don't know what to actually call it.? Is this the right park??...
