What a nice lake Collins Lake is. Much precipitation falls at Collins Lake; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month of the year is September. For the period of the summer at Collins Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's; after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Collins Lake plunge into the 30's.

This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is great here at Collins Lake, you can go for a hike along the Kinnard Horse Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay New Hope Campground
is a fine place to camp. If you want a brilliant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Collins Lake. Collins Lake Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out, and Hetrick Lake is a great lake nearby.
