     If you need a site to stay Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites AUSTELL POWDER SPRINGS is a good choice, and a wonderful place for whitewater paddling is Sweetwater Creek. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Cofer Lake has to offer, you can camp at Atlanta North KOA; visiting Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. Here at Cofer Lake you'll possibly meet some folks  
   from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta, and a perfect close by hotel is Marietta Conference Center and Resort. Summer at Cofer Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's; through the dark hours in the winter at Cofer Lake temperatures plunge to the 30's.
Cofer Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; March is the wettest month with most rain while
 
               October is frequently the driest month. Cofer Lake Dam has magnificent water scenery and it's near Cofer Lake, and some nearby water includes Mud Creek. This lake is so wonderful.
Whohoo, so many amusing things in one place! Cofer Lake is great! There's so much to do here at Cofer Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Kennesaw Koa Kampground is a wonderful site for that, and North Georgia Fairgrounds Lake is a good lake close by. Lakes? Sure, McNeels Lake is close by, and if you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rottenwood Creek.
