Bring your A game!...water from 124 to porterdale is about 3 feet average in the summertime. lots of fun. easy river. clean too. lots of fallen trees in the water, great wildlife, snakes, turtles and fish. the dam in porterdale is easily passed adn the rapids following are verry shallow. email at coadydraven@yahoo.com with questions.... |
Buena Vista Lake
 | 14 miles away It's not only accessible but it's very accessible. For some bizarre reason the County put in a boat ramp, so get out there and paddle around a bit. Pick up some trash left by some people and storm runoff while your at it....I was born and grew up in the community surrounding this lake from 1955 to 1969. Too bad it is not more easily accessible....Buena Vista Lake is just a tiny pond in a city park. There is no reason for tourists to visit unless you happen to be staying in the neighborhood and want to take a walk.... |
