Camping is available at Tabernacle Campground, and hiking along the Allison Lake Wildlife Trail is brilliant fun. Just can't get enough of Clay South Lake. If you're a golfer then a great nearby course is Oak Haven Golf Club, and you can have a delightful hiking adventure along the Ocmulgee River Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Baymont Inn Macon, and Ocmulgee       National Monument is a tremendous national park. High temperatures at Clay South Lake through the warm months are in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's, and overnight lows in the 30's for Clay South Lake. This lake is so wonderful. AmeriHost Inn Macon is a great place to get some rest, and the good folks of Macon like to hang out nearby. Camping at Tobesofkee Recreation                  Area is always a good experience. Lakes? Sure, Clay Lake is close by. Clay South Lake sees pretty high levels of rainfall; all through March this area sees the most rain; the driest month is October.
