Get dripping wet paddling on Little Towaliga River. There's so much to do here at Childs Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Tabernacle Campground is a magnificent location for that. in a kayak, and McCook Lake is a wonderful lake close by.
For the period of the summer months here at Childs Lake, high temperatures regularly get into the 80's, and the overnight is rather cooler of course, regularly in the 60's.
Through the winter highs are in the 50's while Childs Lake nighttime low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent close by hotel is Comfort Suites Forsyth, and there's fine hiking along the Ocmulgee River Trail.
