Chief McIntosh Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; most of the rain falls during March; the driest month of the year is October. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Big Sandy Creek, and a great close by hotel is Days Inn Jackson. Hiking is a popular       thing to do around Chief McIntosh Lake; Ocmulgee River Trail is a great local trail, and why not a little side journey to Aboothlacoosta Creek. You can run the rapids of Towaliga River near Chief McIntosh Lake, and camping is available at Indian Springs State Park. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff near Chief McIntosh Lake. Playing golf is lots of fun at Hickory Hill Golf Club, and Luce Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at.                  At Chief McIntosh Lake all through the long summer days highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are usually in the 60's.
