    A visit to Chief McIntosh Lake is always a good idea. This is a pleasant area for people who like lakes. Luce Lake is a lake around here; get your heart pumping on the great whitewater of Big Sandy Creek. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a delightful time here at Chief McIntosh Lake. If the weather is magnificent here at Chief McIntosh Lake, you can go for a hike along the Ocmulgee River Trail, and after a long day outdoors Plantation Lodge is a good place  
   to spend a night or two. If you need a place to stay Best Western Plantation Inn & Suites is a glorious choice, and a delightful location for whitewater paddling is Towaliga River.
This lake is so wonderful. The Kinnard Horse Trail is a good hiking trail in the neighborhood of Chief McIntosh Lake; there's always Chief McIntosh Lake Dam to stop at close to Chief McIntosh Lake. Camping at Sardis Campground is always a fine experience, and a round of golf
 
               at nearby Hickory Hill Golf Club is a tremendous way to kill some time. For the duration of the summer highs here at Chief McIntosh Lake get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Chief McIntosh Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. There is a great hiking trail close to Chief McIntosh Lake called the Allison Lake Wildlife Trail. Chief McIntosh Lake commonly gets much precipitation; throughout the month of March you get the most rain around here; the driest month is October. Take a side visit to Aboothlacoosta Creek; Chief McIntosh Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, High Falls Campground is a great local campground.
