     Chief McIntosh Lake is a nice lake to visit. Take a side journey to Aboothlacoosta Creek, and camping is available at High Falls State Park. Get dripping wet paddling on Big Sandy Creek, and you don’t have to go far from Chief McIntosh Lake to spot the water at Chief McIntosh Lake Dam. Summertime highs at Chief McIntosh Lake commonly tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's, and  
   overnight lows during the wintertime for Chief McIntosh Lake tend to be in the 30's.
Get yourself into a kayak and hit Towaliga River; there is a fine hiking trail nearby called the Allison Lake Wildlife Trail. Lakes are such peaceful sites, why not have a look at Luce Lake right next door to Chief McIntosh Lake; Days Inn At Jackson is a great place to get some rest. The high level of rain makes Chief McIntosh Lake a pretty wet place; through March this
 
               area sees the most rain while October is regularly the driest month.
This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Hilltop Inn, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Ocmulgee River Trail. This lake is so wonderful. The Kinnard Horse Trail is a wonderful hiking trail next to Chief McIntosh Lake, and Hickory Hill Golf Club is a good golf course close by.
What a place this is for outdoors people. There are other places here than Chief McIntosh Lake, for example McIntosh Dam, and camping at Indian Springs State Park is always a good experience.
