DI and Suites Pine Mountain-Maingate N Of Callaway Gardens is a pleasant place to get some rest. That right there is lots already, but it continues; Champion Lake has it all. Dry warm beds await you at Days Inn La Grange; next to Champion Lake you stumble on a golf course called Fields the Golf Course. Do pop by Floyd Lake near Champion Lake, it's a beautiful       lake, and Champion Lake is a magnificent spot to visit for more than one day, F.D. Roosevelt State Park is a magnificent spot to camp nearby. Livingston Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at, and Pine Mountain Family Campground is a tremendous local campground. Champion Lake gets a great deal of water; during March this area sees the most rain while October is mostly the driest month. Through the summertime months highs here at Champion Lake reach the 90's                  while nighttime lows are generally in the 60's. High temperatures during the wintertime are normally in the 50's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Champion Lake descend into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful.
