Whitewater paddling is splendid on Stevens Creek; Byron Mobile Home and Camper is a good local campground. Don't leave Cawley Lake without first going for a hike along the Horn Creek Hiking Trail, and you'll come across a pretty lake called Reynolds Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Heritage Mobile       Home Community is a great campground nearby, and you'll perhaps meet some people from Augusta-Richmond County here. Super 8 Motel - Augusta Ft Gordon Belair is a perfect place to get some rest. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. An attention-grabbing thing to stop at in close proximity to Cawley Lake is Cawley Lake Dam, and do have a look at Sunrise Lake, it's a delightful lake. During the summer months at Cawley Lake highs are mostly in the 90's.                  Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 50's with temperatures at Cawley Lake dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights.
