Camping at South Oaks Manufactured Home is always a good experience, and a lake nearby is Nelms Lakes. High temperatures at Cates Lake through the summertime are in the 80's, and throughout the night it cools down to the 60's. Through the wintertime the highs are commonly in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 20's for       Cates Lake. You'll meet a lot of people from LaGrange here. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay SpringHill Suites Newnan is a tremendous choice, and if you're a golfer then a great nearby course is Pine Ridge National Golf & Country Club. Line Creek is a perfect whitewater spot in close proximity to Cates Lake; Lake Amlajack Dam is stunning. Be careful coming to Cates Lake, you might not ever wanna go back home again. You can run the rapids                  of Hurricane Creek in close proximity to Cates Lake; camping is available at Papillon Resort and RV Campground.
