Sims Lake is a nice lake near Casteel Lake, and Casteel Lake Dam has splendid water scenery. A great nearby hotel is Comfort Suites Suwanee, and you can run the rapids of Yellow River. A round of golf at nearby Collins Hill Golf Club is a glorious way to kill some time, and a good place for whitewater paddling is Settingdown Creek. Summertime highs at Casteel Lake ordinarily tend       to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 60's. Highs through the winter are regularly in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Casteel Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Casteel Lake is right by the Brookshire Creek Trail, and a quick spree to Ivy Creek is beyond doubt a brilliant idea.
