Visit Hunters Creek since you're here at Cash Pond; Poplar Springs Campgrounds is a great local campground. At Cash Pond during the warm days of summer highs are in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and overnight lows at Cash Pond through the wintertime generally sink into the 20's. | | the rain; the driest of the months is October. This place, Cash Pond, it absolutely has so much outdoors fun stuff. Get soaked paddling on Nancy Town River, and if you need a location to stay Days Inn Toccoa is a great choice. This lake is so wonderful. Toccoa Rv Park & Campground is a glorious campground nearby; paddling on Rice Creek is so much fun. You could also stop at Eaveson Pond since you're here at Cash Pond; it's close by; after a long day outdoors | |

Knights Inn & Suites Toccoa is a wonderful location to spend a night or two. A lake close by is Goolsby Pond, and the nice folks of Toccoa like to hang out nearby.

 | ...id 1950's. The shorelines are constant except in times of heavy rainfall and original life of lake was projected to exceed 100 years. Silt accumulation after 20 years was approximately .5 inche. Normal elevation is apporximately 800'. Feeder streams maintain lake levels even during extended periods of insufficient rainfall and at the same time provide spill into the exiting stream bed. The lake has been pulled down during periods of heavy construction of highways across the feeder streams to allow silt to return to the streams and pass thru thedrain gates. Buena Vista Dr crosses the lake in two places; one being the main dam and again on the Coe Branch inlet. Original construction of dams accommodated these crossings. Over the years sport fishing has been excellent with large mouth Bass, Crappie, Brem, Pike And Catfish, however fishing is limited due to private ownership of property including the lake basin.  | 19 miles away 1 PHOTO Hi!? I am looking for information.? Recently, I have been going thru old black and white photos that belong to my grandmother.? I have several dozen that are dated Easter Sunday, 1945 (April 1st).? I have being attempting determine the location where these pics were taken.? The only thing grandmother can remember is a name:? Panther Creek Park.? She thought it was somewhere around Corniela.? I found this web page while doing a search for it.? I have included some pics.? The most obvious feature in a lot of this photos is a round brick object that people seemed to spend a lot of time lounging around.? I don't know what to actually call it.? Is this the right park??... |
