Carter Pond is always a pleasure to visit. You truly have to have a thing about Carter Pond. People from Valdosta love to come to Carter Pond. Carter Pond gets a lot of water; July is the month that gets the most rain, and October is when it's the driest. Carter Pond is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Eagles Roost Campground is a nice local campground, and swing by Caney Branch it's a wonderful location to explore. There's so much to do here at

| | Carter Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Holiday Campground is a wonderful spot for that, and Lake Park Inn is a splendid site to get some rest. The warmest time of the year at Carter Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 90's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. Highs throughout the wintertime are mostly in the 60's, and after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Carter Pond drop into the 30's. This lake is | |

so wonderful. A lake close by is Bonet Lake, and a tremendous place for whitewater paddling is Alapahoochee River Grand Bay Canal). Turket Creek is a splendid whitewater spot in the vicinity of Carter Pond, and after a long day outdoors Guesthouse Intl Lake Park is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two.
