Stay the night at Holiday Campground, and needless to say, this is a magnificent area for folks who like lakes, Dykes Pond is a lake in the neighborhood. High temperatures at Carter Pond during the summer are in the 90's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 60's while Carter Pond overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 30's. What       a spot this is for outdoors folks. If you need a place to stay Guesthouse Intl Lake Park is a pleasant choice, and this is a popular place for people from Valdosta. Carter Pond is a relatively wet place frequently with a large amount of rainfall; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain, and October meanwhile is the driest month. A fine nearby hotel is Quality Inn Lake Park; get soaked paddling on Turket Creek. This lake is so wonderful.
