Why not camp at Atlanta North KOA if you're here at Carter Lake; at Carter Lake Dam near Carter Lake there are some interesting things to see. This lake is so wonderful. At Carter Lake during the months of summer highs are in the 80's; the overnight is a tad cooler of course, typically in the 60's. Daytime highs during the wintertime are in the 40's with temperatures at Carter Lake dipping down into the 20's all through winter nights. After a long day outdoors

| | Days Inn Dallas is a great place to spend a night or two; you can run the rapids of Mobley Creek. A great deal of rainfall falls at Carter Lake; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain; October is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. There are plenty of people from Cedartown here at Carter Lake, and at Carter Lake you can see Elsberry Mountain. So much amusing stuff close to Carter Lake, simply mind-blowing. | |

Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Tanyard Branch; Clay Lake is a pleasant lake nearby. A great place to camp here at Carter Lake is Sweetwater Creek State Park, and if you need a site to stay Holiday Inn Express
Hotel & Suites HIRAM (DALLAS AREA) is a fine choice. A golf course close to Carter Lake is Creekside Golf & Country Club, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not pop by Dodd Lake.
