What a nice lake Carroll Lake is. Not far from Carroll Lake, you'll hit upon Wessinger Lake which is a beautiful lake, and if you came to camp Yogi Bear's Jellystone Camp-Resort is a great place to do that. If only every site had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great planet it would be. Playing golf is lots of fun at Bowdon Golf Course. Lakes are delightful; Moon Lake is a lake that's close to Carroll Lake. There's so much to do here at Carroll

the 80's. Summer night lows drop down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's, and during the dark hours in the wintertime at Carroll Lake temperatures drop to the 20's. This lake is so wonderful.

Whooping Creek
 | 17 miles away ...y to float a boat in this creek as it is only ankle deep 90% of the way. I have lived on this creek my entire life and have barely been able to find a spotdeep enough to swim in most years. It is however a great place to hike and camp. I dont know much about the adjacent property owners but in 29 years have never been bothered hiking the section between Clem-Lowell road and Hwy 5 (the section you are referring to).The section on the opposite side of hwy 5 is owned by Inland Paper and posted. There are a few property owners on shilo church road that will allow you passage to the water. I have floated a canoe to the river on this section after months of rain, but in general it is also too shallow. There are some deep holes in this section of the creek that offer great bream and bass fishing. The fishing is best closer to the river and it is not uncommon to catch 7# striped bass swimming up from the river looking for food. A gob of nightcawlers or a small rooster tail work excellent for all species. It is a beautiful stream and will not dissappoint for quiet and solitude, but not wort... |
