A great deal of rainfall falls at Carr Lake; March is the wettest month with most rain; September on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. A good close by hotel is Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Newnan, GA, and an out of the ordinary thing to stop by near Carr Lake is Carr Lake Dam. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Line Creek, and you can stay the night at Ramsey Mobile Home and RV Park. If you come       at the right time of year, Flint River offers some great whitewater, and Carr Lake is a glorious spot to camp, Pirkle Campground is a glorious spot. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Carr Lake. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's; after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Carr Lake dip into the 30's. You could also take a look at Dennis Lake while you're here at                  Carr Lake; it's close by; if you need a place to stay Culpepper House Bed & Brkfst is a great choice. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this place.
