Floyd State Park is a magnificent local campground. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Carp Lake. Cane Creek is a stream that you may stumble upon while here; a pleasant location for whitewater paddling is Little River - East Fork. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Days Inn La Fayette is a glorious spot to spend       a night or two, and Camp Laney is a delightful campground nearby. For the duration of the warm months at Carp Lake temperatures are commonly in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 60's. Highs during the winter are frequently in the 40's, and after the sun is down all through the winter temperatures at Carp Lake dip into the 20's.
