This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Western Motel of Eatonton is a good site to spend a night or two, and if you came to camp Lake Oconee Center is a pleasant location to do that. All the water falling down from the       sky makes Carnes Lake a wet location; through March this area sees the most rain, and the driest of the months is October. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a wonderful time here at Carnes Lake. Do stop by Carnes Lake Dam since you're here at Carnes Lake; naturally Little Branch is a picturesque stream that is worth going to. If you need a site to stay Budget Inn is a brilliant choice, and camping at Little River Park is always a wonderful experience.                  You can run the rapids of Little River near Carnes Lake, and a lake nearby is Rooty Creek Structure Number Five Lake. During your tour to Carnes Lake you'll meet some people from Milledgeville for sure. For the duration of the months of summer, highs regularly are in the 90's at Carnes Lake, and during the night it cools down to the 60's.
