If time allows, Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area is a national park worth a visit; Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, Conyers, GA is a great location to get some rest. Nearby Indian Shoals is a nice location to go if you're at Carls Twin Lakes, and camping at Campwest Minster is always a perfect experience. An afternoon playing golf at Cedar Lake Golf Course is always a pleasure, and dry warm beds await you at La Quinta Inn and Suites Snellville/Stone Mountain. whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Yellow River. Camping is available at Stone Mountain Park, and not far from Carls Twin Lakes you'll locate Beaver Lake which is a pretty lake. This
lake is so wonderful. Through the warm months at Carls Twin Lakes highs are usually in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Carls Twin Lakes.

Beyond the park is unknown territory....Yellow river at Poterdale can get pretty tough after a good rain.
