Stay the night at Blackburn Park and Campground, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Nicklaus Golf Club at Birch River. Camp Glisson Upper Lake is one of the lakes here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Do check out Woody Lake near Camp Glisson Upper Lake, it's a pretty lake; Cane Creek Falls is a splendid local attraction. High temperatures at Camp       Glisson Upper Lake throughout the summer are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 60's. All through the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Camp Glisson Upper Lake. Why not go to Camp Glisson Lower Lake Dam since you're here; going for a hike on the Duncan Ridge Trail is always a great adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Super 8 Motel - Dahlonega is a fine location to get some rest, and close by you                  come across the DeSoto Falls Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail. Camp Glisson Upper Lake generally gets a large amount of precipitation; through March this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is October. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
