Not far from Byrds Lake, you'll discover Stuarrts Lake which is a lovely lake, and paddling on Yellow River is so much fun. I don't want to stop, cause I'm havin' a glorious time here at Byrds Lake. Whitewater paddling is tremendous on Alcovy River, and for you golfers we recommend close by Woodlake Golf Club. Americas Best Value Inn is a pleasant location to get some rest, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop at nearby Rays Lake.

| | All the water falling down from the sky makes Byrds Lake a wet place; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily March, that's the one that rains the most, and October is when it's the driest. Lots of folks from Gainesville come to Byrds Lake; why not camp at Salem Campground since you're here at Byrds Lake. Throughout the long summer days here at Byrds Lake, high temperatures typically reach the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 60's. | |
