This is no spot for people who don’t like to have a good time. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Yellow River, and Byrds Lake is a delightful spot to camp, Salem Campground is a delightful spot. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Byrds Lake there are plenty of folks from Gainesville, and since you're here and you       like golf, you can stop by Woodlake Golf Club. Through the warm days of summer here at Byrds Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. Through the winter the highs are generally in the 40's while Byrds Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. Stay the night at Lawrenceville Campground, and after a long day outdoors Whits Inn is a good spot to spend a night or two. Byrds                  Lake gets a great deal of water; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is October.
