Byrds Lake is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have a good time. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Yellow River, and Byrds Lake is a delightful spot to camp, Salem Campground is a delightful spot. | | like golf, you can stop by Woodlake Golf Club. Through the warm days of summer here at Byrds Lake, high temperatures mostly reach the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 60's. Through the winter the highs are generally in the 40's while Byrds Lake overnight low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. Lake gets a great deal of water; of all the months in a year March is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is October. Alcovy River is a delightful whitewater spot in close proximity to Byrds Lake, and if you need a place to stay Country Hearth Inn is a perfect choice.
