So many cool things to do here in the Blue Ridge Mountains, too brilliant to be true. The Black Mountain Trail is a pleasant hiking trail close to Burgess Lake; Burgess Lake is a glorious site to visit for more than one day, Gold 'n Gem Grubbin' Campground is a glorious site to camp nearby. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Chestatee River, and at       Burgess Lake you always meet someone from Gainesville. This lake is so wonderful. Burgess Lake is in the vicinity of Burgess Lake Dam which is a lovely site beyond doubt worth going to; close by you locate the Whitly Gap Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Cavenders Creek is a pretty stream that is worth stopping at, and lakes are such calm locations, why not check out Ponys Lake. During the summertime months at Burgess Lake                  highs are generally in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's, and winter nights come with lows in the 20's to Burgess Lake. Burgess Lake mostly gets a large amount of precipitation; March is the wettest month with most rain, and October is when it's the driest. Man, is there lots of amusing stuff to do in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There is a splendid hiking trail near Burgess Lake called the DeSoto Falls Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Dahlonega Days Inn (Hwy 19 & Hwy 60). Tesnatee Creek has a great whitewater paddling spot close by, and there are other locations here than Burgess Lake, for example Ponys Lake. So many cool things to do here at Burgess Lake, too magnificent to be true. If you're a golfer then a good nearby course is Nicklaus Golf Club at Birch River, and Crisson Campground is a brilliant local campground. The Blue Ridge Mountains scenery is always beautiful.
