Burgess Lake Dam has magnificent water scenery and it's near Burgess Lake, and do take a hike on the DeSoto Falls Trail. Summertime highs at Burgess Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 40's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Burgess Lake descend into the 20's. If you like the outdoors, you'll go for Burgess Lake. | | spots on Tesnatee Creek; if you need a site to stay Days Inn Dahlonega is a perfect choice. This lake is one of the great places here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors fun stuff the Blue Ridge Mountains has to offer. There's so much to do here at Burgess Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Crisson Campground is a delightful location for that, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express DAHLONEGA. Sure, Ponys Lake is close by; Burgess Lake is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Gold 'n Gem Grubbin' Campground is a delightful local campground. Having a perfect time in the Blue Ridge Mountains is painless. If you
come at the right time of year, Chestatee River offers some good whitewater, and hey, Cavenders Creek is a nice local stream. Burgess Lake regularly gets lots of precipitation; all through the month of March you get the most rain
around here; October is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always go to close by Ponys Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Black Mountain
Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Have a tremendous hiking adventure along the Whitly Gap Trail, and since you're here you can play some golf at Nicklaus Golf Club at Birch River. At Burgess Lake you always meet someone from Gainesville.
