What a place this is for outdoors folks. Camping is available at Pine Lake RV Campground; hiking is a popular thing to do around Bullocks Lake; Scull Shoals Trail is a pleasant local trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a location to stay Hilton Garden Inn Athens Downtown is a glorious choice; in close proximity to Bullocks       Lake you come across a golf course called Lane Creek Golf Club. Holiday Inn ATHENS-UNIVERSITY AREA is a glorious spot to get some rest, and great hiking is available along the Falling Camp Trail. Bullocks Lake generally gets a good deal of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is March, and September is the month with the least moisture. If you came for an overnight stay Oconee River Campground and Picnic Area is a perfect place to camp, and you can                  go for a hike on the Mounds Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Rose Creek has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by. Lakes are great; Peeler Pond is a lake that's in the vicinity of Bullocks Lake. Not far from Bullocks Lake, you'll find Pettit Lake which is a charming lake, and this is a popular place for people from Athens-Clarke County. Throughout the summertime months highs here at Bullocks Lake get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures dip down into the 60's.
