There is no reason for tourists to visit unless you happen to be staying in the neighborhood and want to take a walk. If you need a spot to stay Americas Best Value Inn - Decatur/Atlanta is a brilliant choice, and East Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop at. Don't try to stop me, cause I'm havin' a fine time here at Buena Vista Lake. A lake nearby is Glen Emerald Lake, and at Buena Vista Lake you always meet someone from Atlanta-Sandy Springs-Marietta. This lake       is so wonderful. Take a little journey to Shoal Creek while you're here at Buena Vista Lake; if you came to camp White Water Learning Center is a great site to do that. This lake is so wonderful. A perfect close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express NORTH AVE/DOWNTOWN/GATECH AREA. There's so much to do here at Buena Vista Lake that you need to camp here for a while, White Water Express is a great location for that. If you're a golfer then a good nearby course is Charlie                  Yates Golf Course, and a journey to Overmountain Victory National Historic Trail is worthwhile. All through the summer highs here at Buena Vista Lake get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's; night lows in the 20's for Buena Vista Lake.
