After a long day outdoors Valdosta-Days Inn Lake Park is a nice place to spend a night or two. At Browns Pond all through the months of summer highs are in the 90's. Summer night lows dip down to the 60's. Through the winter highs are regularly in the 60's with temperatures at Browns Pond dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. Dry warm beds await you at Valdosta/Lake Park Travelodge,       and a great location for whitewater paddling is Alapahoochee River Grand Bay Canal). Camping at Browns Pond is great fun, Eagles Roost Campground is a great local campground, and Turket Creek is a delightful whitewater spot close by. Browns Pond regularly gets a large amount of precipitation; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is October. This lake is so wonderful.
