Lots of rain falls at Brown Pond; during the month of July you get the most rain around here, and October meanwhile is the driest month. A swamp like Bear Garden Swamp right next door to Brown Pond has lots of exciting things to see. There's so much to do here at Brown Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Eagles Roost Campground is a magnificent site for that. All through the days of summer       here at Brown Pond, high temperatures regularly reach the 90's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 60's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 60's, and nighttime lows during the winter for Brown Pond tend to be in the 30's. You think that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. If you need a place to stay Valdosta/Lake Park Travelodge is a magnificent choice, and unsurprisingly Bevel Creek flows through this area. Whitewater Club                  Lake Dam is a pretty site near Brown Pond; you can stay the night at Paradise Island Fishing. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Turket Creek, and Brown Pond is a location with many visitors from Valdosta. Dry warm beds await you at Valdosta-Days Inn Lake Park. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Alapahoochee River Grand Bay Canal) offers some good whitewater. Lakes?
