A brilliant nearby hotel is Wingate by Wyndham Madison / Lake Oconee Area, and not far from Brown Lake you obtain some nice water scenery at Brown Lake Dam. Robins Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by; there are some wonderful whitewater spots on Apalachee River. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a spot to stay Comfort Inn Madison is a great choice, and there are pleasant locations to explore along the Falling Camp Trail. It's a nice idea to pop by

| | Beaverdam Creek, it's near Brown Lake, and going for a hike on the Mounds Trail is always a nice adventure. So much entertaining stuff to do at Brown Lake, so little time. Camping at Talisman Campark is always a glorious experience, and nearby you locate the Scull Shoals Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. commonly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. You'll meet a lot of folks from Athens-Clarke County here. Summertime highs at Brown Lake regularly tend to be in the 80's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's.
For the duration of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's, and overnight lows at Brown Lake during the winter mostly fall into the 30's. Camping is available at Pine Lake RV Campground, and if you get bored of Brown Lake you could also stop by nearby Youngblood Lake.
