You'll need more than a day to look at everything Brown Lake has to offer, you can camp at Pine Lake RV Campground; don't leave Brown Lake without first going for a hike along the Scull Shoals Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Very pleasant water scenery is available at Brown Lake Dam right next door to Brown Lake, and in case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Apalachee       River. This lake is so wonderful. Beaverdam Creek is a gorgeous stream that is worth going to; Youngblood Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at. All the outdoors fun things in the neighborhood of Brown Lake will keep you coming back again and again. There's good hiking along the Mounds Trail; dry warm beds await you at Wingate by Wyndham Madison. Through the warm months here at Brown Lake, high temperatures commonly get into the 80's. Throughout                  the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 60's. During the winter highs are in the 50's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Brown Lake temperatures dip to the 30's. Stay the night at Talisman Campark, and if you need a place to stay Days Inn Madison is a fine choice. You'll meet a lot of folks from Athens-Clarke County here, and the Falling Camp Trail offers hiking at its best.
