A lake nearby is Wig Lake, and some of the water nearby flows, like Big Long Creek. Brown Lake gets a large amount of water; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while November is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Why not check out Wells Pond Dam if you're here. There's so much to do here at Brown Lake that you need to camp here for a while, George L. Smith State Park is a pleasant place for that.

At Brown Lake through the summer months highs are in the 90's. Summer night lows dip down to the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 50's with temperatures at Brown Lake dipping down into the 30's through winter nights. After a long day outdoors Days Inn and Suites Swainsboro is a magnificent site to spend a night or two. | |
