After a long day outdoors Days Inn Gray is a good site to spend a night or two, and delightful hiking is available along the Allison Lake Wildlife Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You'll stumble on a delightful lake called Douglas Lake near Briscoe Lake; Briscoe Lake is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Lake Juliette       Dames Ferry Park is a magnificent local campground. Through the summertime at Briscoe Lake highs are ordinarily in the 80's. Once the sun is down it plunges down to the 60's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 50's, and winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Briscoe Lake. There are some wonderful whitewater spots on Little River; if you came to camp Little River Park is a good place to do that. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! Briscoe                  Lake is great! Do pay a visit to Ocmulgee National Monument since you're here at Briscoe Lake, and if you're here you will meet lots of people from nearby Macon. Lakes are such serene places, why not have a look at Moore Lake in close proximity to Briscoe Lake; why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Jones County Lake Jonesco Golf Course. Briscoe Lake is a rather wet place ordinarily with a great deal of rainfall; during March this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is October. This lake is so wonderful.
