     Brindle Lake Dam has wonderful water scenery and it's in the neighborhood of Brindle Lake, and if you get bored of Brindle Lake you could also go to nearby Mashburn Lake East. Stay the night at Fort Mountain State Park, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Spring Lakes Golf Club is in close proximity. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Holly Creek, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Songbird Trail.  
   High temperatures at Brindle Lake during the summer are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 60's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 20's overnight here at Brindle Lake.
Brindle Lake is a wet site that gets much rainfall; March is the wettest month with most rain, and August meanwhile is the driest month. Buck Creek flows through this neighborhood; Calhoun Koa Kampground is a
 
               brilliant campground nearby. Brindle Lake is not the only location close by, Mashburn Lake West is a close by lake, and after a long day outdoors Best Western Fairwinds Inn & Suites is a nice site to spend a night or two.
This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Key West Inn Chatsworth; going for a hike on the Grassy Mountain Tower Trail is always a splendid adventure. And if you're still looking for more outdoors exciting stuff just keep reading. Get wet paddling on Mill Creek, and Brindle Lake is not far at all from Calhoun. There are splendid sites to explore along the Emery Creek Trail.

The General Store @ Eagle Mtn. now has Villa rentals to add to the enjoyment of paddling the Coosawattee, and can provide shuttle service to and from the river. Its a great place to spend the day, and now, you can even spend several days if you wish.  Check them out!!...Ran the kayak trip from the General Store this past Memorial Day weekend it was great.The Store was full of customers, but they tried to make everyone feel very special. Great Folks and a great 2hr trip...The Coosawattee General Store is now offering kayaks/tubes for the stretch that runs through Coosawattee River Resort....

Short  moderate walk  to the tower. Very nice view at top  from tower In summer months  be very  careful when walking  section  with rocks. A lot  of  rattlers have been spotted here....

...asauga for the last few years I am very upset about the way people are treating the facilities offered there. As this area grows in popularity, and more and more people use it, I am saddened by the way this beautiful lake and mountian is being abused and trashed. The catch phrase ''Leave only your footprints'' applies to all US National Forests for a reason. One can only assume that you use this camping area for it's beauty and freshness, so why then do so many people leave it in such a mess? To have to pick up over 50 bags of trash, often left scattered about after a non-holiday weekend, is unreasonable. I don't mean to rant or nag, but, it isn't that hard to put a grocery bag in you pocket when fishing along the lake trail and walk out with the trash you create. The hosts in most camp grounds are volunteers and are unpaid. They pay for all of their own expenses to be there in order to keep the grounds and restrooms clean and stocked. So, PLEASE, read and obey the rules posted. Few places are as beautiful as our National Parks, please lets all make that small effort to keep them tha...
