An exciting thing to check out near Brice Lake is Etowah River Watershed Dam Number Nine, and Hidden Valley Resort is a great local campground. Lumpkin Campground is a magnificent campground nearby, needless to say you could also take a look at Girl Scout Camp Echo Lake if you're here; it's not far at all. Golf Club is a golf course close by. This lake is so wonderful. Brice Lake is a place with many visitors from Gainesville, and the Black Mountain Trail is a great hiking trail close by.
Any time is a fine time at Brice Lake if
you fancy the outdoors. If the weather is good here at Brice Lake, you can go for a hike along the Brookshire Creek Trail, and get your heart pumping on the tremendous whitewater of Etowah River. This lake is so wonderful. A good
spot for whitewater paddling next to Brice Lake is Settingdown Creek; if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Dawsonville is a great choice.

| I love camping at Etowah River Campground. It is secluded and away from the traffic of the big lakes and Corps of Engineers campgrounds. The owners are VERY friendly and will do anything to make your stay pleasurable. You can hike and ride your ATV nearby, float the Etowah River or just relax. There is no reason to run to town after your arrival. The campsites are also very spacious and roomy, the bath house is clean and well maintained and the grounds are well groomed. I can't wait to go back. It may just be the only place I camp from now on.... |
