Brenau Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. If you came to camp Antioch Campground is a glorious location to do that, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not check out Ramsey-Fraser Lake. For the period of the summertime, highs commonly are in the 80's at Brenau Lake. Summer nighttime lows fall down to the 60's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's; nighttime lows through the wintertime for Brenau Lake tend to be in the 20's. You

| | can run the rapids of Flat Creek in the vicinity of Brenau Lake, and you'll find a stunning lake called Reservoir Seven. Brenau Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; all through the month of March you get the most rain around here, and the driest of the months is October. This lake is so wonderful. to do here at Brenau Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Lakeside Mobile Home and Travel is a fine location for that.

 | 18 miles away I notice that there is a Lake Qualatchee a few miles northwest of Cleveland, Georgia. I have never visited the site. Bartram's list of Cherokee towns included a ''Qualatche,'' but it was reportedly on the Flint River, too far away to have a connection with this lake. But, Mooney says a town called Qualatchee was somewhere on the headwaters of the Chattahoochee River. Not much else seems to have been written about the town, and I am not yet sure how the lake came to have its name.... |
