If you are in Morgan county it's always a good idea to stop by Bowden Lake. There's so much to do here at Bowden Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Talisman Campark is a great site for that, and dry warm beds await you at Covington Days Inn. Bowden Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Salem Campground is a great local campground, and there's whitewater on Alcovy River for all you thrill seekers. | | is Hard Labor Creek Golf Course; Dennis Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth taking a look at.
Bowden Lake mostly gets a great deal of precipitation; March is the wettest month with most rain while September is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. The Kinnard Horse Trail is a pleasant hiking trail in the neighborhood of Bowden Lake; Quality Inn Covington is a tremendous place to get some rest.

All through the summertime at Bowden Lake highs are mostly in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Bowden Lake
are in the 30's. This is no location for people who don’t like to have fun. There are some nice whitewater spots on Hard Labor Creek; you can take a little spree to Bowden Lake Dam while you're here at Bowden Lake.
