Deloach Lake Dam is not far at all from Boring Pond, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Alapahoochee River Grand Bay Canal). This lake is so wonderful. Hampton Inn Valdosta is a magnificent spot to get some rest, and there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Turket Creek. Through the long summer days at Boring Pond temperatures are mostly in the 90's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures       sink down into the 60's.
