A visit to Boggs Lake is always a good idea. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Boggs Lake there are plenty of people from Rome; a tremendous place for whitewater paddling is Johnnies Creek. There are other places here than Boggs Lake, for example Berry Reservoir; do go to Berry Reservoir Dam since you're here.

Lavender Mountain is easy to spot from Boggs Lake, and there's some flowing water close by, Rock Mountain Creek is a stream you can visit while here.

from the sky makes Boggs Lake a wet place; March is when you get the most rain here; the driest month of the year is October. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Boggs Lake with overnight lows in the 60's. All through the winter
the highs are mostly in the 40's, and night lows in the 20's for Boggs Lake.
If only every location had this much outdoors fun things, what a great globe it would be. A great location to camp here at Boggs Lake is Morrison Campground, and if you would like a little side trip, try Redmond Gap.
