You can run the rapids of Gulf Creek next to Blaylock Mill Pond; since you're here, you could also pop by picturesque Chandler Lake. The high level of rainfall makes Blaylock Mill Pond a quite wet spot; the month with most of the rain is March; August is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a       hike along the Bluff Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and the Bluff Trail is a magnificent hiking trail close by. Rocky Branch is a brilliant local stream, and do take a look at Wilson Ponds, it's a striking lake. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Blaylock Mill Pond. Why not camp at James H. Floyd State Park if you're here at Blaylock Mill Pond, and get your heart beating on the tremendous whitewater of Allen Creek. Dry warm beds await you at Key West Inn La Fayette, and if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the Skyuka Trail.
