Throughout the long summer days here at Blaylock Mill Pond, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 60's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and all through the dark hours in the winter at Blaylock Mill Pond temperatures dip to the 20's. An afternoon playing golf at Lafayette Golf Course is always a delight; Lafayette       Days Inn is a delightful location to get some rest. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Gulf Creek, and why not camp at Look Out Mountain Koa Kampground if you're here at Blaylock Mill Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There are some brilliant whitewater spots on Allen Creek, and do visit Rocky Branch while you're here at Blaylock Mill Pond. That right there is heaps already, but it keeps on going; Blaylock Mill Pond has                  it all. You're sure to encounter some good folks from Summerville here, and the Skyuka Trail is a wonderful hiking trail nearby. Dry warm beds await you at Key West Inn La Fayette, and if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the Bluff Trail. Blaylock Mill Pond gets lots of water; March is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is August. If you came for an overnight stay Ringgold Koa Kampground is a wonderful place to camp, and close by you find the Bluff Trail which is a great hiking trail.
