Go to Blankenship Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. If you came to camp Rocky Comfort Plantation Campground is a great location to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Take a side tour to Big Branch, and Blankenship Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Big Hart Campground is a pleasant local campground. Lots of rainfall falls at Blankenship Pond; the month of March is the wettest with most of the rain; October on the other hand is the driest.

| | Through the summer months here at Blankenship Pond, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 90's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's, and after the sun is down all through the wintertime temperatures at Blankenship Pond drop into the 30's. The scenery at Blankenship Pond Dam next to Blankenship Pond is lovely, and if you need a spot to stay Budget Inn is a splendid choice. | |
