A visit to Blackburn State Park Lake is always a good idea. Hidden Valley Resort is a nice campground nearby, and the Brookshire Creek Trail is a wonderful hiking trail close by. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water close by, Baggs Branch is a stream you can pop by while you're here; if you need a place to stay Dawsonville Super 8 Motel is a tremendous choice. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. There are some

| | magnificent whitewater spots on Yahoola Creek; nearby you hit upon the DeSoto Falls Trail which is a perfect hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Girl Scout Camp Echo Lake is a great lake right next door to Blackburn State Park Lake, and if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Black Mountain Trail. are in the 80's at Blackburn State Park Lake. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. All through the winter this place gets highs in the 40's with temperatures at Blackburn State Park Lake dipping down into the
20's through winter nights. That right there is heaps already, but it continues; Blackburn State Park Lake has it all. Nicklaus Golf Club at Birch River is a great golf course close by, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Etowah River.
