This lake is so wonderful. There are some great whitewater spots on Tesnatee Creek, and if you came to camp Jenny's Creek Campground is a glorious place to do that. A good deal of rain falls at Black Lake; March is the month that gets the most rain, and October meanwhile is the driest month. Do explore Black Lake Dam       while you're here at Black Lake, and there's wonderful hiking along the Raven Cliff Falls Trail. Black Lake is a beautiful lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This spot, the Blue Ridge Mountains, has so much outdoors fun stuff. This is a tremendous area for folks who like lakes. Smith Lake is a lake close by, and Days Inn Cleveland is a tremendous spot to get some rest. If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. You're                  probably interested in lakes, Hills Lake is one of those close by. There's so much to do here at Black Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Gold 'n Gem Grubbin' Campground is a great site for that. You feel that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Glade Branch is a tremendous site to go to; the Appalachian National Scenic Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Chestatee River, and don't leave Black Lake without first going for a hike along the Whitly Gap Trail. Through the summer months here at Black Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 80's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's.
